Our artistic endeavors led us to build our home
on the magical island of Bali. Perched on a cliff with exquisite views,
it is a place of relaxation and inspiration. Redesigning and renovating
a quite ordinary house was a project of love and creativity-the carved
beds, batiked bedspreads, oil paintings and wrought iron railings are
all our own designs. We brought in crystals from around the world and
inlaid them into the stonework in the bathrooms. Recently we put in
marble floors, air-conditioning in the lower living area and added a
lovely 20' x 60' veranda which can be utilized for dance and yoga massage
or a painting/writing studio.
Staying in a home in Bali is a whole other experience than checking
into a hotel. The enchanting sounds of the river, the comfortable
space to stretch out, and the quiet intimacy of your own place makes
it a wonderful home away from home. NOTE
